![]() This was a football weekend and we were visiting our daughter at Bama. We hope you had safe travels home and enjoy future visits to Tuscaloosa. We appreciate you sharing your concerns with us as we are always looking for areas of improvement. The towels sometimes cover this in a few rooms and we are so sorry this occurred. I assure you I did go to the room you stayed in as each bathroom does have outlets in the bathrooms. This most definitely should have been communicated with you upon your arrival and we will discuss this with the individual that checked you in. We do remain open at all times, but with the Holiday and having 2 guests throughout the evening, management made the call to close early. We are so sorry for the inconvenience of closing the restaurant early. I assure you these are not the standards we strive for and I am pulling camera footage to properly address your concerns with each department. Other than that, the location is great for walking straight out to the river walk. Had to dry and curl hair in the hall, stretching to see the hall mirror. Also, absolutely zero electrical outlets in the bathroom. ![]() I don’t understand this mentality…when I worked in food service, you never ever closed until posted closing time. He just casually glanced up and said, “Yeah, they closed early since no one was there.” Funny that he knew that…we wondered if he’d warned them we were headed up, or if they had called to tell him they were closing and he didn’t bother to tell them they had 2 customers coming up. Went downstairs to tell the receptionist that the door to the bar was locked. The door was locked, although we could clearly hear staff inside talking, as if they were just sitting and enjoying drinks. Dropped our luggage in the room and headed straight to the rooftop bar. We said that would be plenty of time for a beer. ![]() Asked if they had a hotel bar and he said yes, but that they were closing in half an hour. ![]() Had been driving a long time and were looking forward to a drink. Just walked to the computer until I finally said that we were there to check in. When we entered, the night reception desk staff member seemed annoyed to be interrupted from whatever he was doing at a table, and didn’t even greet us verbally. We stayed during the very quiet week between Christmas and New Year’s, which may have explained the very lukewarm reception. ![]()
